Torrey Antrell Neely (February 13, 1980 - October 25, 2005)

Torrey "Toe" Antrell Neely was a ray of sunshine that was cast down upon us on February 13, 1980.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Brenda (Adolphus Corbin) Neely of Cleveland, Ohio and to Thomas Michael Jones of South Bend, Indiana.  He was the loving father of Torrey Antrell Neely, Jr., whose mother is Taniesha Wade, a special friend, and to Jamir Alexander Wright, whose mother is Tabitha Wright.  "Toe" attended Collinwood High School.  For the last two years he has worked as an independent trucking contractor.  He was a happy-go-lucky person whose effect on people always seemed to bring about a smile.  His life was spent bringing happiness to all that surrounded him and he was known as a caring person who was always willing to help those close to him.  He will forever live in our hearts because of the impact he had on his family and friends.  Torrey enjoyed life.  He was a mechanic and loved to fix and decorate his cars and ride his motorcycle.  His rest and relaxation usually involved eating out and going to the movies with his family.   Torrey departed this life on Tuesday, October 25, 2005.  Those family members who preceded him in death include one brother, Michael Neely, as well as three grandfathers, John Neely, Julious Corbin and Charles Jones.  In addition to his parents and children, he leaves to cherish his memory, three loving sisters, Fredricka Neely and Roshanta Neely, and Danielle S. Corbin, all of Cleveland, OH; three grandmothers, Catherine Curry of Gary, IN, Gracie Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Dorothy Corbin of Macon, GA; a niece, Brianna S. Neely; a nephew, Raymond H. Saunders, Jr.; and a host of special relatives and friends.

 

Ricardo Shawn Newberry (December 23, 1975 - June 19, 2004)

Ricardo Shawn Newberry was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 23, 1975 to Sandra J. Cartwright and Ronald H. Newberry, Sr.  Ricardo attended John Marshall High School and finished the 12th grade in 1997.  He was employed at K-Mart in Columbus, Ohio as a Loss Prevention Manager.  His ambition was to be a singer and a male model.  He and his twin brother spent hours trying to perfect their skills.  They also sang at most of Cleveland's summer festivals where they always took 1st Prize.  Ricardo departed this life on June 19, 2004 in Columbus, Ohio.  He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his mother, Sandra Newberry of Cleveland;  his father, Ronald H. Newberry, Sr. of Cleveland;  his son, Ricardo S. Newberry Jr. of Cleveland;  one sister, Deanna C. Rowell;  three brothers, Dwight (Sabrina) Newberry, Ronald Newberry and his twin Reginald (Charlotte) Newberry, all of Cleveland.  He also leaves aunts and uncles, Sam (Corrine) Cartwright of Columbus, Ohio, Darlene (David) Bullard of Cleveland, William (Michelle) Abram, Jr. of Cleveland, Willie Ann (Donald) White of Cleveland and Ricky (Dee) Abram of Cleveland;  numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;  a cherished friend, Tanika Bizzell;  and a host of other loving family members and friends.  He will truly be missed.

 

Sheldon Nichols (April 27, 1953 - May 9, 2004)

Sheldon Nichols was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Theda and Jack Nichols on April 27, 1953.  He was the youngest of seven children.  Sheldon accepted Christ and was baptized in 1967 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church under Reverend Leonard Suddhoff.  Sheldon attended Cleveland Public Schools graduating from East Technical High School in June 1971.  He served in the United States Army from 1977 to 1980.  On October 4, 1984 he married Dancy Howard and moved to Mobile, Alabama.  Sheldon was a devoted stepfather to Carla and Cassandra and grandfather to Carlos, Kailyn, Zyqueria and Sameria.  He reestablished Cleveland as his home in 2000.  He was currently employed by Cleveland Clinic Environmental Services and the City of Cleveland Parks and Recreation.  A very likeable, outgoing personality - to know him was to love him.  Sheldon was gifted with a remarkable memory;  he never forgot a name, face or a date.  Sheldon will also be remembered for his stylish manner of dress that always included a hat or a cap.  On May 9th unexpected by us but not to our Father Sheldon was called to eternal rest.  Sheldon will be greatly missed and forever loved by his loving and devoted family...his mother, Theda Nichols; his sisters, Nedra Nichols, Linda (Howard) Mosby and Annette (Lester) Colvin;  sisters-in-law Mattie Nichols and Mary Nichols;  three aunts, Mildred Roshell, Kathryn Douglas and Pearl Hunter;  a great uncle, Richard Williams.  Sheldon will also be missed by a host of other relatives and friends including his loving and caring special friend Linda Allen.  Preceding Sheldon in his death were his father, Jack Nichols and three brothers, Jerry, Jackie and Ralph Nichols.
