 Adams, Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae Adams – A natural care giver.  Born on February 6, 1932 in Cuba, Alabama, Daisy spent a number of her adolescent years assisting her parents Henry and Carrie Hull raise, support and love her nine younger siblings.  On Tuesday, December 8, 2009 God called Daisy to His heavenly care.  She departed this life at 8:00 a.m. after years of battling a long term illness.

Daisy was a fighter!  If you were involved in a war, you definitely wanted her on your side.  Daisy was a strong, spirited, outspoken and confident woman.  Her feisty personality consistently brought her to the aid of family and friends.  She never turned a loved one away in a time of need.

Daisy is a 1950 graduate of Kinterbush High School in Cuba, Alabama.  After graduation she attended Miles College in Birmingham and later moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she met and married Willis R. Adams Sr.  The couple then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, which became Daisy’s home for over 50 years.  She again tapped into her caregiving instincts to raise three beautiful children of her own.

Daisy worked at American Commodore Dry Cleaning and retired in 1993 after numerous years of service.  Daisy accepted Christ as a child in Alabama and she continued serving the Lord as a member of Central Bible Baptist Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Daisy leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Ardelia McGee (Ben) and Mary Moore (Eric); son, Willis R. Adams Jr.; sisters, Annie Pearl McVay and Martha Battle (Rannie); brothers, Lovell Hull, John Hull, Ledell Hull, Wallace Hull (Helen) and Matt Hull; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Preceding Daisy in death are her parents Henry and Carrie Hull and her sisters Bobbie Joe Hull and Anna D. Alexander.
