
Daisy
Mae Adams – A natural care giver. Born on February 6, 1932 in Cuba,
Alabama, Daisy spent a number of her adolescent years assisting her
parents Henry and Carrie Hull raise, support and love her nine
younger siblings. On Tuesday, December 8, 2009 God called Daisy to
His heavenly care. She departed this life at 8:00 a.m. after years
of battling a long term illness.
Daisy was a
fighter! If you were involved in a war, you definitely wanted her
on your side. Daisy was a strong, spirited, outspoken and confident
woman. Her feisty personality consistently brought her to the aid
of family and friends. She never turned a loved one away in a time
of need.
Daisy is a 1950
graduate of Kinterbush High School in Cuba, Alabama. After
graduation she attended Miles College in Birmingham and later moved
to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she met and married Willis R. Adams
Sr. The couple then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, which became Daisy’s
home for over 50 years. She again tapped into her caregiving
instincts to raise three beautiful children of her own.
Daisy worked at
American Commodore Dry Cleaning and retired in 1993 after numerous
years of service. Daisy accepted Christ as a child in Alabama and
she continued serving the Lord as a member of Central Bible Baptist
Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Daisy leaves to
cherish her memory daughters, Ardelia McGee (Ben) and Mary Moore
(Eric); son, Willis R. Adams Jr.; sisters, Annie Pearl McVay and
Martha Battle (Rannie); brothers, Lovell Hull, John Hull, Ledell
Hull, Wallace Hull (Helen) and Matt Hull; seven grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and
friends. Preceding Daisy in death are her parents Henry and Carrie
Hull and her sisters Bobbie Joe Hull and Anna D. Alexander.
