 Brewer, Carlos

On Sunday, August 21, 1960, Carlos Miguel Brewer was born to parents Georgia D. Brewer and Arnold T. Saulsberry in Cleveland, Ohio.

Carlos attended the Cleveland and Cleveland Heights Public School Systems, as well as Kent and Ohio State Universities, where he studied psychology and political science.

Carlos accepted Christ at an early age, and attended services with his family.  He relocated to Virginia in May, 2009, and settled in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he actively volunteered his services at Walter Reed Hospital.  Carlos was also active in his community, cooking for the local church once a week.  He was employed as an automobile detailer at the time of his death.

Family was Carlos’ first love, but the development of life-long friendships proved to be evident as well.  He had a magnetic and fun-loving personality and lived life abundantly.

His second love was motorcycles…an avid member of the Street Hustlers Motorcycle Club of Cleveland, Ohio.

Carlos was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2010.  He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted partner, Jaime Martin; two daughters, Tanisha Holcomb of Cleveland, Ohio, and Chloe Brewer of Collierville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Justin and Arianna Holcomb; a loving and devoted mother, Georgia Brewer, of Oakwood Village, Ohio; a loving sister, Denise Saulsberry, of East Cleveland, Ohio; one great aunt, Mae E. Johnson, of Collierville, Tennessee; two aunts, Mildred Lawrence (Willie) of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Lawanda Rendell (Anthony) of Euclid, Ohio; one uncle, Larry W. Saulsberry (Vanessa), of Cleveland, Ohio.  His memories will also be cherished by his best friend Sonya Seals and family, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and his beloved Street Hustlers family.
