Mrs.
Callie L. Buckner was born on January 16, 1918 in Decherd, Tennessee
to the union of Charley and Maudie Moore. She was one of ten
children born to this union.
Callie was united in marriage to Dewey Buckner, Sr. in the 1930’s
and to this union six children were born.
Callie Buckner was a dedicated mother and wife who loved life
abundantly. Her caring and compassionate ways gained the love and
devotion of many. Callie was a warm and friendly person who was
well beloved by those who knew her.
Callie Buckner departed peacefully from this life on December 31,
2009 at Manor Care in Willoughby, Ohio after suffering illness. She
is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Dewey
Buckner, Jr.; daughter, Edna Mae; as well as by all of her
siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include four children, Emma (Bob)
Lowry, Joann Braswell, Geraldine (Anthony) Hamilton, and Paul
(Bucker) Buckner; sixteen grandchildren; forty-three
great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of
other loving relatives and friends.
