
Anthony
Heath was born on February 1, 1927 in Great Falls, South Carolina to
the loving union of John and Lula (nee Ferguson) Heath.
Anthony received his early education in
South Carolina and, at an early age, accepted Christ into his life.
On June 12, 1944, at the age of
seventeen, Anthony entered the United States Army and was Honorably
Discharged on February 19, 1945.
For a while, Anthony lived in Buffalo,
New York and in the early 1960's he decided to make Cleveland, Ohio
his home. Not long after moving to Cleveland, Anthony met and
married the former Eva Geraldine Hairston. Together, the couple
raised three daughters - Lisa, Debra and Geraldine.
Anthony was self-employed for many years
in the area of home improvements and remodeling. He was a very
family oriented man whose favorite saying was “communication is a
beautiful thing!”
On Saturday, April 26, 2008, Anthony
departed this life. He is preceded in death by his parents;
brothers, John and Eddie Heath; sisters, Lizzie Mae Bailey and
Lillie Bell Kennedy; and one grandchild, Rivera.
Those left to mourn and to cherish his
memories include his wife, Eva Geraldine Heath; daughters, Lisa
Hairston Clark (Phillip), Debra Hairston and Geraldine Hairston
Hodge (Michael); sister Christine Walker (George); grandchildren,
Andrew, Gabriel and Mecca; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hairston, Alvin
Hairston and Lenard Hairston; sisters-in-law, Connie Lambert and
Carolyn Moore; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
