
Edward
William Jackson was born on November 28, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to
the union of Edward William and Alma Rose (nee Chatman) Jackson, Sr.
Edward accepted Christ into his life as his personal Savior. He
attended Thomas Edison High School and retired from General Motors
after thirty years of service. Edward enjoyed barbequing and was an
avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.
On Saturday April 19, 2008, Edward departed this life after a battle
with illness. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter,
Tanya Coleman; and sister, Constance Robinson.
Those left to mourn and to cherish his memory include his loving
wife of thirty-nine years, Emzie Jackson; sons Edward W. (Mary)
Jackson, III, Darryl (Karen) Jackson and Reggie Jackson;
stepdaughters, Margot Turner and Yalanda Goggins; sisters, Joanne
(Thomas) Hall and his twin Edwina “Rita” Scott; grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Rosetta Goggins and Bonita Brown; brothers-in-law,
Monte Goggins, Ledon Goggins, Glen Goggins and Fred Brown; other
loving relatives and friends.
