
Cotis
Marion was born on December 30, 1919 in Hurtsboro, Alabama to the
loving union of Lucious and Laulie (nee Lagrant) Marion. While in
Alabama, Cotis received his early education and accepted Christ into
his life.
Cotis spent time in
many cities before making Cleveland, Ohio his home in the early
1960’s. For many years, he was employed as a Presser in the
drycleaning industry. Cotis, who loved jazz and gospel music, was a
friendly, good natured man who was humorous and never complained.
On June 26, 2008,
Cotis departed this life and is preceded in death by his parents;
son, William Cotis Vaught; sisters, Irene Rex and Armeta Biddles;
and grandchildren Lamar and Venus.
Those left to mourn
and to cherish his memory include his children, Roderick (Terrain)
Marion, Andrew Hobson, Nellie Hobson and Sue Atkins; grandchildren,
Tracy, La’Shaunna, La’Keitha, William Jr. and Michael;
great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
