Johnny was born on September 13, 1946 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Lesley and Letha Mays. Johnny was the oldest of seven children. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. He embraced his family of siblings, and was a quiet and easy going man. The family was blessed to have close family ties. He leaves to mourn his four brothers Lavelle, Edward, Earnest and Kevin; two sisters Brunette and Pearllene; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Johnny will be deeply missed.
