
Ethel
L. Palmer was born on November 6, 1921 to the union of Mary Lou and
Dennis Josey in Macon, Georgia.
Ethel accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior early in life.
She married Harles Osborn, Sr. and to their union, three children
were born. In 1952, Ethel moved to Cleveland, Ohio after a period
of time in Knoxville, Tennessee. She later entered into marriage to
James Palmer on April 25, 1965.
Ethel gave unselfishly to her entire family, be it financially, or
with her wisdom. She was an active member of the Fellowship Baptist
Church Usher Board and was also a member of the Ushers Association.
Ethel belonged to social clubs of many of her friends and she loved
to travel. In addition, Ethel was a retiree of Standard Product of
Cleveland, Ohio.
On Saturday January 2, 2010, Ethel departed this life. She is
preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband, Harles
Osborn, Sr.; by her second husband, James Palmer; as well as by one
son, Dennis Osborne.
Those left to mourn and to cherish her memories include two
children, Harles Osborne, Jr. and Mable (Edward) Kirk; four
grandsons, David, Nick, Frank, and Curtis; four granddaughters,
Lisa, LaShun, Tracie, and Queenie; nineteen great-grandchildren; as
well as a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and
treasured friends.
