

Charles Wayne Sales,
Sr. was born on February 8, 1937 in Rockbridge, Virginia to the
union of Cordoza and Corrine Sales. He passed over on December 18,
2009.
As a child, Chuck
worked odd jobs to make money, including cleaning ditches for only a
penny. As a teenager, he migrated all over the United States
seeking work. He also spent time serving in the military. Chuck
eventually settled in Ohio where he worked until his retirement
after 25˝ years with Caterpiller Company driving a Tow Motor.
There, Chuck met and married Constance Alexander. To this union,
five beautiful children were raised. Chuck was the most caring,
reliable, and wonderful father, husband, and friend. He enjoyed
fishing and riding around the city every morning. He will be
greatly missed.
Chuck is preceded in
death by his parents; a daughter, Corrine (Sales) Adams; and a
grandchild, Christion Alexander.
He leaves to mourn a
loving wife of 29 years, Constance Sales; sisters, Corrine Black of
New York and Jeraldine Davis of Connecticut; children, Charles W.
Sales, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Newman, GA; LaQuitta Alexander of
Stow, Ohio; Willie Alexander, Shuquitta Marn and husband Tam of
Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Andre and Sommer Adams, Charnai
Sales, Veronica and Charles Marn, Cayla and Courtney Sales, Devante,
Chayra, Jeremiah and Cortez Alexander, Taytiana Darby, and Keith
Cross; and great-grandson, De’John Weems; as well as a host of other
relatives and friends.
