 Wade, Ada

Ada Mae Wade was born on November 30, 1935 in Americus, Georgia to the union of John Cowell and Margie Lee Ford.

Ada accepted Christ into her life at an early age and received her formal school education while still in Georgia.  In 1956, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she was united in Holy Matrimony to Henry Wade, Jr.  To their union, four children were born - Debra, Harold, Henry III and Tabatha.

Ada was a very outgoing as well as outspoken woman.  She loved to be the center of attention and when she entered a room it would just light up!  She was an avid traveler and very active in area politics where she  served as a poll worker and as a precinct committee worker.  Ada loved to cook and her home was the center of many family activities.  She enjoyed being a mentor to those in the community and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need.  Ada was also a faithful member of Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church were she served until failing health no longer allowed her to.

On Tuesday, December 29, 2009, Ada departed this life and is preceded in death by her parents as well as by her stepdaughter, Juanita McMillan.
