Mr. Calvin Whitlow
was born February 10, 1925 in Chambers County, Alabama to the union
of Danny and Ida Whitlow.
He confessed his
life to Christ at an early age and united with the Sardis Baptist
Church in Camp Hill, Alabama. Later he relocated to Cleveland,
Ohio, where he was gainfully employed by Alcoa Aluminum Company
until his retirement in 1983.
“Mr. Calvin” as he
was called by many in his community loved spending time on his front
porch or working in his yard. His friends and acquaintances could
always count on his generosity and caring spirit.
On Sunday, March 21,
2010, “Mr. Calvin” departed this life.
He is preceded in
death by his parents, Danny & Ida Whitlow, two brothers, four
sisters and one daughter, Betty Faye Clay.
Those left to mourn
and to cherish his memories include his loving daughter, Barbara J.
Whitlow and dear granddaughter, Rachel Ann Whitlow of Oxnard,
California, as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
