

Paul Wilson was
born in Pike Road, Alabama to the union of Fannie Mae and Norman
Wilson, Sr. on November 8, 1936. He was the oldest boy born into a
family of nine children. At the age of 19, Paul moved from Alabama
to Cleveland, Ohio.
Paul and Rosie
Lee were united in Holy Matrimony on May 28, 1957 and to their union
four children were born: Pauline, Joyce, Patrick and Annette. Paul
worked in the steel mill industry for many years, but, eventually
went to work at the Cleveland Playhouse in 1962 as House Manager.
He retired from there in 2009 after more than 47 years of service.
Paul accepted
Christ at a young age and attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church in
Cleveland, Ohio. He was a very faithful member and he worked
diligently on the Usher Board. Paul loved to travel with his
family. He enjoyed bowling and was on various leagues, attended
numerous tournaments throughout the years and won many trophies. He
had a warm and boisterous voice, a good sense of humor and a warm
and friendly smile. He gave all those he loved nicknames. Paul was
a good neighbor who never met a stranger.
Paul went home
to be with the Lord on February 18, 2010. He was preceded in death
by his parents Fannie Mae and Norman Wilson, Sr.
He leaves to
cherish his memory his beloved wife, Rosie Lee; son, Patrick (Leontyne);
daughters, Pauline (Joseph), Joyce (Robert), Annette (Dwayne) and
Angela; grandchildren, Toccara (Carlton), Cleavon, Sierra, Nelson,
Malik, Octavia, Raven, and Dwayne; three great-grandchildren;
sisters, Lovire Smiley, Elizabeth Rogers, Fannie (Leroy) of Detroit,
Michigan, Doshie King of Montgomery, Alabama, and Annye McCullough
of Mt. Vernon, New York; brothers, Joseph of Chicago, Illinois,
Thomas of Pike Road, Alabama, and Norman (Katie) of Cleveland, Ohio;
sisters-in-law, Mamie of Atlanta, Georgia, Susan (Rodger) of South
Carolina, Early (Luther), Mary (Ben), Rebecca (Trent) and Mattie
(John) of Detroit, Michigan; brothers-in-law, Willie (Bea), Arthur (Roxy)
of Chicago, Illinois, Nathaniel, Bobby of Detroit, Michigan and
Nelson (Jan) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of loving nieces,
nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
