 Wilson, Paul

Paul Wilson was born in Pike Road, Alabama to the union of Fannie Mae and Norman Wilson, Sr. on November 8, 1936.  He was the oldest boy born into a family of nine children.  At the age of 19, Paul moved from Alabama to Cleveland, Ohio.

Paul and Rosie Lee were united in Holy Matrimony on May 28, 1957 and to their union four children were born:  Pauline, Joyce, Patrick and Annette.  Paul worked in the steel mill industry for many years, but, eventually went to work at the Cleveland Playhouse in 1962 as House Manager.  He retired from there in 2009 after more than 47 years of service.

Paul accepted Christ at a young age and attended Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.  He was a very faithful member and he worked diligently on the Usher Board.  Paul loved to travel with his family.  He enjoyed bowling and was on various leagues, attended numerous tournaments throughout the years and won many trophies.  He had a warm and boisterous voice, a good sense of humor and a warm and friendly smile.  He gave all those he loved nicknames.  Paul was a good neighbor who never met a stranger.

Paul went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2010.  He was preceded in death by his parents Fannie Mae and Norman Wilson, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Rosie Lee; son, Patrick (Leontyne); daughters, Pauline (Joseph), Joyce (Robert), Annette (Dwayne) and Angela; grandchildren, Toccara (Carlton), Cleavon, Sierra, Nelson, Malik, Octavia, Raven, and Dwayne; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lovire Smiley, Elizabeth Rogers, Fannie (Leroy) of Detroit, Michigan, Doshie King of Montgomery, Alabama, and Annye McCullough of Mt.
