Rosa Annie Yarbrough was born on July 7, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to Comaster Sr. and Lee Anna Roberts.  She was the fourth of six children born to this union. Rosa accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Anderson Hawkins, Pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church.  In later years, she united with Calvary Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful worker on the Mother’s Board.   She attended the Cleveland Public Schools and then went on to attend Culinary School and School of Furniture Upholstery.  Rosa had an outgoing personality and she loved to shop for furniture and for clothes!  She also loved to fish and to cook.  Her bread “with the colored swirls” and checkerboard cake will surely be missed.  On Sunday, February 18, 2007, Rosa departed this life.  She is preceded in death by her parents and by four siblings – Elwood, Odus, Aretha, and Comaster Jr.  Those left to mourn and to cherish her memory include her “One and Only” daughter Frances E. McQueen;  two grandsons, Ronald McQueen of Cleveland, Ohio and Harold McQueen of Cincinnati, Ohio;  one great-granddaughter, Taylor Pointer;  one sister, Odessa (Cornelius) Battle of Oakland, California;  and many other loving relatives and friends.
