Thelma Ann King, 85, departed this life to eternal reward on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. There will be No Public Visitation and No Funeral Service .

Thelma Ann King was born on August 1, 1939, in Laurel, Mississippi, to the late Fred and Annie Lola Adams. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by family and dear friends.
Thelma was the eldest daughter of sixteen children, a role she embraced with grace, strength, and deep devotion. From an early age, she helped guide and nurture her siblings, laying the foundation for the caring and resilient woman she would become. She stepped into this role by de facto as her mother passed away when she was 12 years old.

Thelma was preceded in death by her sisters, Katie Mae Adams, Elizabeth Clayton, Lucy Sims, Mary Adams, Debra McClellan and Virgia Adams; her brothers, Johnny Lee, Levester, Willie, David, Paul and Fred Adams; one granddaughter, Tianna Danyal King; son, Donald Eugene King, Sr.; and daughter, Schennetta Te'Ree King.

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue to celebrate her life through her children, Gerald King (Rhonda), David King, Sr. (Denise), Michael King, Zena Mosely (Marshall), Timothy King, Sr. (Felicia), and Keisha King; her siblings, Thomas Adams, Sister-in-Law Juliaett Adams, Robert Adams Sr., (Willa Mae) Donald Adams (Margaret) Jimmy Davison, Lucetsera (Archie) Bell III and Jerome Adams (Delores); dear family friends Linda Thomas, Gloria Ferebee, Pastor James and Jocelyn Darby; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and close family friends.

A celebration of life honoring Thelma King will take place on July 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the Christian Fellowship Center, located at 14713 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
