Theodore "Ted" Harrison was born in Meridian, Mississippi on August 27, 1957. He was the third of seven children. On December 24, 2021 at the University Hospital, Ted departed this life.  He is survived by his mother, Mae Harrison; children: Theresa (Martin) Essandoh and Tyrone (Rianni) Harrison; grandsons: Jerael Dues, Zion Williams and Judah Harrison; siblings: Sadie (Mickey) Matlock, Freda Henderson and Lori (Nevin) Sanders. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Fred Harrison Sr., sister: Gwendolyn Ruffin; and brothers: Daniel Young and Fred Harrison Jr.

Family, friends and members of the community are invited to a public viewing at Thomas G. Smith Funeral Home 14601 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland Ohio 44110 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 2pm- 5pm followed by a lantern release ceremony at 5:30pm. The lantern release ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Bobby Hicks of Charity Baptist Church and will take place at the Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation East 72nd Street Fishing Area.
